Regarding this years registration for the event

I did not manage to get a spot in January when registration opened, will I be able to sign up now?

We have decided to add a few more spots due to the fact that a lot of people that planned on coming to Iceland are no longer able to. We are opening up the registration again on Wednesday, 20th of May at 12:00 pm GMT (Iceland local time).

Because of this we want to point out that now there are about 11 weeks until the race takes place and this race is only meant for those who are training regularly with races like this in mind. Participants must be in good shape in every way and must be at least 18 years old. Read more here: https://www.laugavegshlaup.is/en/race-for-you

If I manage to get a spot in the race in this second registration of the year can I still cancel and get a partial refund?

No, by signing up in this second registration you forfeit your rights to a 50% refund if you decide to not take part.

I signed up for the race but I have sustained and injury. Can I offer someone my spot in the race?

No, the same rules still apply as previous years. Registrations cannot be moved between people.

Is there a waiting list I can go on?

No, the Laugavegur Ultra Marathon does not have a waiting list. The first comes first gets rule applies.

I do not live in Iceland but would still like to attempt taking part this year, can I do that?

Yes, according to the newest update from the government, people traveling to Iceland from June 15th will be allowed to enter the country without the 14 day quarantine. Travellers will need to get tested for Covid 19 at the airport up on arrival and stay in their accommodations for 24 hours or until results from the test are available. The trial period for this will end two weeks later. Updated information will be posted when available. Please get further information from the government in the country you live in before traveling to Iceland. There is a chance that the same does not apply for all countries.
